FMS gives error message, please help!

Just installed FMS and I get the error message " error while getting proc address for flat thunks" anybody have an idea what the problem may be?

Thanks steve for pointing out the information, "it says I set the option" I never set any options.....after installing the game successfully, I tried to run it and that message comes up, I tried changing the compatibility setting several time but got " E comport in module FMS" I am unaware what to do from here.

The ecomport error is a known issue with newer computers that do not have any physical or USB COMx ports.
