Great program! - impressions from a newbie

I'm currently thinking about entering the world of R/C-flying, but I'm not sure if I'd be a good pilot or if I'd crash my plane in the first run, so I was looking for an R/C-simulator to get a feel for this hobby ... and luckily found FMS.

I really love this program, it's great fun and all, but I got a few questions:
1. Is there any way to remap the keys? I'd prefer having the roll-control on [LEFTARROW]/[RIGHTARROW] and the yaw-control on [A]/[D] instead of the default keys for roll- and yaw-control...
2. I found out there are special joysticks for R/C-sims ("Game Commander" and "Gamebird"); does this game support those joysticks? What do they cost, and are they worth the money? Oh, and where could I buy them here in Germany (I'd also buy a used one if it's in good shape)?
3. How realistic is this sim? If I can handle the planes in this simulation, is it likely that I could handle them in real life too? (I'm just wondering because flying the Su-26, for example, feels like steering a train on rails - I can't believe it's that easy... )
4. Where can I download new (user-made) planes and sceneries for FMS?

Thanks for your help!
