FMS and FRAPS

Greetings once again my friends!

I use a program called FRAPS to take movie captures of the various games I play. I thought it would be neat if I could take a movie shot of me flying my FMS plane, that way I could replay and analyze when I make mistakes. (And besides that its just a kewl idea LOL)

So.. I loaded FRAPS, loaded FMS... and the plane immediately went haywire and crashed. I traced that to the fact that both FRAPS and SmartPropoPlus use the sound card inputs, and my hardware isn't capable of using more than one input at a time (Or at least I don't think it is because I cant use FMS and Ventrilo at the same time either).
So, I turned off the record sound option on FRAPS.

OK so now I can fly my plane without issue, but while FMS is loaded FRAPS wont respond to commands, eg start recording hot-key, and wont record. Not sure why, but I figured I would start here.
