The 3D terrain are photolistic the last time i check.
it's just those images are being stetch or the mess of the terrain
is not big enough..just like the models.
If you zoom on the FMS model's cad, you'll notice the model's
pixel starts to break up or have jagged lines. Not the .bmp
images that gets paste on it, but the 3D cad or mess itself.
A 3D terrian world is still a model
A skybox is a model
A sphere is a model
This is what I'm trying to do Icaba...You see my sky ???
See how they're not stretch or blurr
I'm half way there.
Notice sometimes how when you do a flying over head..sometimes
the sky breaks up or you see pixel squars...well it bugs the heck
out of me... i know i can alway trun on the playstation.lol
But I'm trying to learn
You notice those jagged lines on the hills ?
It dosn't matter what size image i pasted on it.
The mess needs to be more define.
You notice those pixel square on the ground ?
But I'm not sure what those numbers serpersent
The quardrant numbers.... 0 0 1 1 fileds
im' thinking it's telling it to paste or map the ,bmp for the ground
I'm thinking or asking..of creating more quads within the quadrents
This is the world scnery or it's using the hightdistribution.
I just relocated some objects and air brush the terrain's .bmp
I increase a sky .bmp to 2048x2048..but what really helped it
is I pushed the sky up ...The plain that the sky gets mapped on
to...without boundaries
The very first line in the .scn file
I increased it to 1300...I'm thinking i pushed it 1000 pixels out,
the same as zooming out...this way the you get a nice clear picture.
300 is just too close. The more you push it up the more
blank (white) space you'll see...whaa..la..i wonder who invented the
fog.lol
Notice you'll see a little bit of white behind the buildings or tree.
In chase mode you'll really see it without the fog.
Or click #9 to raise the pilot's posistion without fog.
That's why you trun on the fog in 3D mode.
Btw I have seen that red panel that you speak of Iscaba
