More Landscape Loading Issues

Hey folks, a friend of mine helping me get into RC has pointed me here.

I'm running Vista with an Nvidia graphics card, and have gotten the program to run. I followed the advice in several posts that stated the photorealistic landscapes would allow me to view textures (it's not nearly as much fun flying around a barren green landscape!); however, I am getting this error any time I try to load a photorealistic landscape:

Error: Floating point value expected at: PILOT_POSITION [coordinates listed in .scn file].

Any pointers? Thanks a ton, the forum's already been very helpful.

Open up the .scn file with Windows Notepad and see what is says for the pilot position. Adjust accordingly.

The start of the world.scn says:
SKY 300 5000 SKYTEX
AIRCRAFT_POSITION -170 -175 0
PILOT_POSITION -175 -180 0

The F-Nishitama.scn indoor scenery says:
AIRCRAFT_POSITION 0 0 0 0
PILOT_POSITION -1 0 1.7 FIXED

Amhurst says:
SKY 300 5000 AshhurstSky
// X Y
AIRCRAFT_POSITION -126 113 0
PILOT_POSITION -134 125 0
3D_LANDSCAPE AshhurstHeight

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure I understand what I need to do. The coordinates it lists in the error message (with any of the photorealistic landscapes I use) are the same as the ones in the .scn file. For example, on Stadium, it reads:

Error: Floating point value expected at: PILOT_POSITION 4 5 2.7

The .scn says this:

AIRCRAFT_POSITION 18 5 0 0
PILOT_POSITION 4 5 2.7 FIXED

I only know about editing the .scn files - is there something else to adjust?

Just figured it out. I had downloaded both the beta 7 and alpha 8.5, and apparently installed the beta 7 instead of 8.5. Sorry for the ignorance.
