Lock up - FMS crashes requiring a reboot

After a random amount of time using FMS my PC locks up, requiring a reboot. This can be from 10 secs to 5 mins. The system is a K6 2 500 with a Voodoo 3 3000 and at the moment running Windows Me. I have tried a Voodoo Banshee and Windows 98 with the same result. Any ideas?

I've got the same problem (P3/500, Win98). I even have to switch off my PC - it's completely locked up...

I have managed to get it working now by installing the latest drivers for the voodoo 3 3000 and Direct X 8a.

My problem now seems to be erratic control with my Futaba via a serial cable that was working ok. It works ok to start with but quickly seems to lose its callibration.
