No Rudder Control

Can't get any rudder control on FMS.
When I open the "Control" window, and go to Mapping & Calibration. Its uses CH6 for throttle, 7 for ailerons, & 8 for elevator, but I can't get any channel to control the rudder. When I click the "resourses" button, it sets up on "Joystick 2" 6 axes, and all the channels work. 1 for throttle, 2 ailerons, 3elevator, 4 rudder. All the bars move on that screen.
Any ideas what I have done wrong. I also had the same problem with a Wingman Jotstick while I was waiting for a USB transmitter cable.
I am using Win XP Media Edition, with a Hitec interface, and an Airtronics Stylus transmitter.

I have the channels calibrated OK, but no rudder during simulation.

Also there is a channel entry for "Nick" adjustment - what flight aspect relates to "Nick"?
