XP Home - Blue screen lock up

I notice that FMS (2alpha8.5) will sometimes lock up, giving me a blue screen with an error message. I have to physically shutdown the computer when it happens.

My system:

Dell Pent 4 2.9ghz 512mb ram
Intel video (runs IL-2 Sturmovik - barely but no probs)

XP Home SP2 (all updates + Norton + AVG + SpyBot)

Joystick: MS Precision Pro USB

The error I get is:

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000090, 0x6D8130C7, 0xED84BA4, 0x00000000)

At the bottom it says it had to dump Physical Memory


FMS is the only program that does this to my comp. I've been running it on this system for over a year, and this has been happening on occasion since loading it onto this system.


Does anyone have a fix for this?

Too bad progress on this model sim has gone stagnant. They give the $$ versions a run for their money for sure.

Same problem here. When I go to switch to a different model or landscape the computer stops, makes a loud click, and the blue screen pops up telling me to get my IT administrator. The error message also reads physical memory dump. I hope someone can help us out.
