FMS 8.5 wont work on Vista

HI, Just installed FMS then tried to run the program and i get the error message FMS.EXE has stopped working. I've done the .dll thing as mentioned in other posts but i still have the same problem. HELP!

Is anyone working on this problem!? How about a 9.0 version compatable with Vista? Any word or ideas?

Have you checked the other threads that pretains to USB ports
only PC's when trying to run FMS in a USB ports only PC ?
Even after you do the .dll files in Vista.

You might just need to create a ghost comport for those
old types (d-sub) and write that little patch using notepad.

Bascailly FMS needs to recognize those old d-sub comport
to run...wheather it's XP or Vista.

That's how someone got his PC with Vista ,with only USB ports to run FMS.


Notice...if you read the 2.85 version...it's the lastest and greatest version.
...notice it say "last update in 2005"lol

why ????
1. You can run photolistic sceneries in 2.85 and not 2.7.
Trun OFF the fog in phololistic sceneries of course.

2. There's more features in the 2.85...such as being able to trun OFF
the FIX camera...what dose that do ???
It allows the model to float away from the center of screen,
(FIXED to the center of the screen)
which will give you a more of a sim feel and not a vedio game feel.

3. There's an ADD ON software call Par edit in the
prgramfile/FMS folder.
This will allow you to edit the model's perimeters quickly.
Such as turn on or off the HOOK to a model so you can
winch luanch a model. Or maybe adjust the wheels piont
a little bit so the 2.7 models don't sink under the ground sometimes.
