Installation Corruption?

I initially was able to run FMS ok on my XP system. After a couple iterations of installing 8.5 release vs 8.2, I ended up with a problem I cannot work through.

Sometimes I can get a first flight ok. But after a crash I can no longer control the model. It seems the plane is flying 'ahead' of what is displayed on the screen, and I hear it crash a couple of seconds before the plane visually crashes.

I have done complete 'uninstall' attempts on both versions, but now I can get neither version to run properly/ongoing.

Any ideas?

Did you try and remove orphan entries from the registry manually?
To do so, run regedit and delete the whole FMS-branch:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Flying-Model-Simulator\

Yes, I tried the removal of the registry references. Didn't seem to help.
