V2.07 Works in Keyboard mode, see's Joystick but can't seem

WINXP SP3

FMS v2 beta 7 works in keybaord mode on my DELL.
Hooked up a HITEC Laser4 tonight with USB cable interface purchased on EBAY.

The FMS Joystick calibration does recognize and complete the calibration.

when back to viewing the aircraft on the ground the joystick controls don't seem to work. can;t increase throttle or move aircraft wing surfaces.

The keyboard controls seemed to be disabled as they as ineffective too.

Is there a START or initialization sequence I'm missing / not performing?
I press WINCH/Hand Launch keys but that doesn;t start things going.

THanks.

A couple of small points:
Have you correctly mapped the Tx axes to the controls?
With FMS you don't see the control surface movement, just see its effect in flight. So you need to get something flying to see if the control surgaces are working - a glider perhaps.

varocket,

If you are trying to fly an FMS 2.8 model in FMS 2.7, it will act exactly as you indicate.

Make sure you are using an FMS 2.7 model. The easiest way to tell is to open the .par file and see if it has 26 entries in it. If so, FMS 2.7, if not, FMS 2.8. You can also tell by the size of the .par file, 2.7 is usually around 2K bytes, 2.8 14K or so.
