Windows 2000 shuts down as soon as I run FMS2alpha85

Hi everyone

Does anybody know why after installing FMS2alpha85 on my Win2000 Pro my PC just restarts as soon as FMS starts to initialize?
It's fine on my Win 7 Laptop but would rather use it on my desktop as can't really see the screen on the laptop with the controller stuck in front of it...

Any ideas are welcome.

Normal stuff to check. Do you have a serial port in Windows or did you turn them all off in the BIOS?

FMS 2.8.5 needs a COMx port defined within the OS.

How about your graphics card? Is it a pretty good 3D card or is it extremely old? Update the drivers. Make sure you have the best DirectX for Win2K.
