Unable to Run FMS with Windows7

I am using Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition operating system and have downloaded FMS V2.0 Alpha8.5, however when i try to run it I get the following Application Error message:
Exception Ecomport in Module FMS.exe at 0008AFEC.
Registry Error (Win Error Code:2)

Can any one help please but please keep in mind that your responses need to be simple and explicit as I am a complete duffer when it comes to computers.

This message has already been answered. Search for ecomport for solution details. It means that FMS expects to have a serial COMx port defined in the registry. -- ggunners

Using win7 32bit version, can anyone help how to run FMS ?
