USB Controller not the same as real controller

Postby fergie62 » Fri Jun 29, 2012 12:55 am

Just bought USB RC Plane Master flight simulator along with the FMS software. It does not operate the same as an actual controller. Can someone please help me set the controller to be the same as an actual RC controller?
I have flown my real plane and this is not the same. I had hoped to get some real practice from this simulator.

You need to map the controller to the correct numbers using the FMS menu under

[Controls] [Analog control] [Joystick interface] [Mapping/Calibration]

On my Dynam USB controller the numbers are:

Rud 4 Exp
Elev 2 Inv
Aile 1 Exp
Thr 3

And repeated for helicopters.

Your numbers may be different.

If you're not sure what numbers to use just watch the blue bars when you're calibrating. If bar 2 moves with stick you want to use for elevator put 2 against Elev etc. You may also need to tick the INV box against some channels if the control is moving the wrong way e.g. if aileron stick left makes the plane roll right or throttle stick down gives full power etc.

OTOH if it's not just the control mapping perhaps you could give a few more details about what exactly is "not the same".
