Serial driver error

Serial driver error

Postby Ford » Tue Dec 04, 2012 9:39 am

I installed the FMS software 8.5 to my windows XP SP3 machine. I have a yellow exclamation over the serial in the hidden non-plug and play drivers in device manager.
The software won’t open until I disable the serial driver.
Also when I plug in the FMS device the computer doesn’t detect anything at all and there are no lights on the device. I note that there are no COM ports under Ports in device manager. Is this why there are no lights on the device when I plug it in?
I did install the registry serial fix that was provided on another forum..
But same problem. How do I get rid of the serial yellow exclamation error and when that is fixed will the computer then detect the device?
Thanks

Hmmmm.... FMS 2 alpha 8.5 is free and downloadable. It does not come with a device.

Perhaps the folks that sold you the device can help. What device is it and where did you buy it?
