FMS works GREAT

Hey all, just getting into helicopters and this simulator is awesome.

Took a bit of finagling to get it all to work but thanks to this forum and another one, it is running beautifully.

Channels for the Dynam 6CH USB transmitter for me were 4 /2rev /1 /3

Most important was finding out you had to disable direct draw acceleration in dxdiag, after that it works like a champ.

Thanks to all who gave their time and knowledge to help out the new guys to this hobby.

Gotta get back on the sim and practice inverted, I'll be up all night

Loaded FMS software without problem. Clicking on desktop icon brings up the initial screen with airplane on runway with engine buzzing. However, when I try to open anything on the FMS screen the screen goes black, though I can still hear the noise from the airplane engine. I'm thinking this is a video card issue. I've got an NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT videocard with the latest driver and I have updated Direct X to the latest version as well. Anyone with suggestion on how to make this usable?

Hmm... Without knowing which operating system, FMS version, airplane and scenery,
it makes it difficult to narrow a response.

You'll find that there is a known Nvidia incompatibility regarding a flickering issue with
newer Nvidia drivers.

FMS version 2 alpha 8.5 is the best version to use and will fly beta 7 and alpha 8 models.

The beta 7 version may be more compatible with some systems but the flight physics is
inferior to alpha 8.
