Spektrum tx calibrates but then heli doen't respond - Win 7

I have a dx4e controller using All in One Simulator cabl / usb dongle I got off ebay. It has FMS on the box, along with other simulator makers. Calibration see the tx but I click finish but the heli doesn't respond to the tx. It responds to the key pad. It appears the cable works since it calibrates ok. What am I doing wrong?

Calibrate 1st in Windows.

Make sure and select [Advanced] button and make sure your transmitter is the preferred controller.

When you calibrate in FMS for airplanes, make sure the heli channel assignments are identical.
