Using Futaba FP-T4nbF with FMS?? - Trouble with using controller

I am using FMS and the Futaba FP-T4NFB controller. It has a 6-pin interface ans a LPT (parallel) port connector.
I can't make it interface.
No errors, just won't work. I use XPhome, printer port on CPU, and my controller. Pulled crystal. Turned on controller and the software won't recognize it. Keyboard works fine. I used Version 2.00 first, then downloaded fms2alpha81. Now what?

Parallel port interface does not work with Win XP. You need a different type of interface or maybe a program like PPJoy will get it working for you
