Futaba Probs - cant get it to work

I own a Futaba Skysport 4 and
Ive recently tried to use the FMS with the cable connection i made as per your instructions.. but i still get No signal.
Ive set the I/O thingiez but it still doesnt work

any ideas what it might be

Which instructions, where did you get them ? There are many different published designs for FMS interfaces, some better than others. If you can let us know exactly which one you built someone can probably help.

If you mean the thing that's just a zener diode and resistor then I don't know of any easier one to build. There are lots that work more reliably.

If it's that one check the diode is the right way round and it's connected to the right pins (on the transmitter DIN plug understand that the picture shows the FRONT of the plug not the back that you solder to). The parallel port needs to be ECP or EPP. Oh and you must NOT be using Win NT,2000 or XP.

it seems to have been the Zenier Diode around the wrong way
