Parrallel port interface - Works on one PC and not on an other

I have FMS working on a laptop. Great.
I tried to intall FMS on an other PC with windows 98 but i can see no signal when calibrating.

I think there is a setting in windows which is wrong but i don't know where. But i am not sure and i can't find the setting.

Can somebody help me with this please?

aeropal, are you're sure you're not overdoing the "Forum policeman" bit ? The topic you linked is a completely different, unrelated topic. Is there a rule somewhere that says one person is not allowed to discuss 2 separate problems at the same time ?

Anyway heermarcel, it would be a good idea to check that the parallel port LPT1 is enabled in the BIOS. It needs to be set to EPP or ECP.

But if you don't understand the PC BIOS get someone to help you. You can kill the computer completely if you make the wrong changes in there.
