Adding a com port to the divice manager

Hi im looking for a computer guy who can help me. When i go into device manager to see what kind of parralell and serial ports i have it only contain the printer one 1LPT. I have looked on my friends computer and he has both serial 1 and 2.I have the necessary ports but they need installing so that PPjoy can recognise them.

Someone please help me on installing the port so i can get my tx to work.

p.s we both have windows xp

Is your com port enabled in the bios??
