No signal on lpt interface after using the dos version

The signal on my LPT was recognized properly with the windows version beta 6. Then I used the DOS version and since then the signal is only recognized in the DOS version but no longer in the Windows version. I tried to uninstall, delete and reinstall the windows version, but it didn't help. What's wrong?
