Airtronics RD6000 no longer works

Postby TK5028 » Mon Jan 29, 2007 6:12 pm

My old computer the RD6000 worked just fine. Now on my newer it does not. From what I have read is is due to no signal to the parallelport on XP. I do not want to go with a different cable. (Why when I already have one) I would just want to get it to work. I am not much of a computer person so most of everything stated on this forum I do not understand. The closet I could find was with PPjoy but my understanding is for a joystick port. I just want to use my parallelport like I am used to. If anybody could help with this I would appreciate it. Thanks.

No, PPJoy is what you want. It makes your parallel port interface LOOK LIKE it's a joystick. So you connect up as usual and then inside FMS use the Joystick control option.

It is simply not possible to use the old parallel port interface directly in Win XP.
