Airtronics VG FM interface - This won't work, will it?

I have an Airtronics Vanguard FM 6-channel Tx. Is there a way for this to work (with Windows XP) with FMS?
I've seen the commercially-made interface cables at SimBlaster.com, and diagram instructions on the FMS site, but I'm unclear on whether my Tx will meet the requirements.
If this radio won't work, would a Futaba Skysport 4?

Yes most of the circuits that work with Futaba will also work with Airtronics/Sanwa provided the TX has a trainer port. The signals are very similar though the pinout on the trainer plug is different.

The interfaces at and are available for your TX. I'm sure there are others but make sure you get an interface that works with Win XP. Some don't .

Thanks Steve, but are you saying FMS will work with an FM Tx? On the "manual" page, I read that FMS requires a PPM modulation radio. Does an FM radio have this?

For most purpose in radio control circles, FM and PPM mean the same thing. The technical purists will tell you about precise differences in meaning but unless a transmitter is "PCM" it is "PPM" and it will work fine.
