futaba ty9 - how to set up

i have a new aerohawk that came with a 8.2 fms. i have a futoba ty9 that came with my nexstar plane. came with the realflight program, it has a usb port connection. i tryed last night to use this controller with the usb with the 8.2 fms program, when i got to running the driver, it said while the black box was on the screen that waiting for transmitter. what can i do, what settings in virtual port, what settings in calibration, win xp , help ?

The realflight USB interface sets up a joystick in the game controllers.
So for FMS you should just need to select analoge controls >Joystick and then map the controls.
You may need to remove other joysticks (click remove in game controllers) as FMS does not have the option to select. It is easy to get these back using the add button.
