Esky + FMS + WinXP SP2 - Will it work? / Any experience?

Hi,

I'm brand new to the FMS / RC simulator game, and just can't bring myself to spend $150+ for RealFlight when it appears FMS is just as good if not better.

That said, I just want something that will work when hooked up, so I'm not planning to try and link my own transmitter, but rather buy one of the Esky serial transmitter boxes on Ebay. Is there any reason why this might give me trouble (assuming of course the box itself is wired properly)?

I am currenrly using FMS alpha 8.5 with WinXP SP2 and many updates, with the e sky simulator. No trouble. I am using USB interface.
