esky 3d on com port - calibration working in fms

Postby giles25 » Sat Apr 30, 2005 1:13 am

Im using the esky 3d interface cable plugged into the com port on xp. THen using ppjoy it picks up the signal from the TX. Once running Fms, it picks up the movement of the sticks on calibration but no control in the simulator. If i do the calibration then i should have control in the simulator. i cant think what could be wrong. need some advice.
anyone else had the same problem.?

ive also tried it with realflight G2 (non interlink version) and exactly the same problem.

You have to complete the calibration correctly. Also set up the correct channel numbers on the LH side of the calibration screen.

Do you have any other controllers plugged in? I had the same problem, I unplugged my usb flight joystick and gamepad and restarted FMS with PPJoy running Zhen Hua 5 byte protocol set channel order to 64356435 and and reversed the throttle switch on the transmitter and it works. I hope this helps :cool:
P.S. I am running Windows XP and FMS Alpha 8.5

sorry that didnt work either. Flyheli what com port settings are you using? its seems that no matter port settings i use makes no difference as in ppjoy still picks up the signal no matter what i do.

Giles25 my port settings are:
COM port 1
Bits per second = 19200
Data bits = 8
Parity = None
Stop Bits = 1
Flow control = None

There's a bunch of info in there about this type of controller and FMS. Good Luck.

thanks for advice, but still no joy. Ill try the controller on another computer to see if that makes any difference. My pc can be a bit random at times, its been a while since i did a clean install.
