Hi

My interface cable connects via the microphone. Does this mean it is serial, parallel, PIC???

I have a futaba-like tx (i.e., Oris R/C) and I'm running FMS 2.0 Beta 7.

I would say 'audio'.

Try the 'thermometer' stick for PPM signal:

If you can see the signal, smartpropo will be your friend.


It will convert the PPM signal present on the audio to a virtual joystick.

Be sure to have the last version 'SmartPropo Plus' V 2.0.3 and select the 'generic PPM'. Just copy the uncompressed winmm.dll to your FMS directory (where fms.exe is present).
A MONO connection is advised (make a connection between left and right if you have stereo connectors).

Hi Phil

I did as you suggested and it worked a treat. Thanks heaps.

Now all I have to do is calibrate my tx which looks like it's going to be tricky. Is it normal when calibrating to see the blue bars jumping all over the place even when there is no movement of the sticks?

When you start calibrating, this is normal. Doing the calibration will stop the movement of the bars when the soft learns the maximum position of each channel. Just follow the instructions.
After calibration is done, the bars should follow your sticks movements.

If it still jumpy you are probably over-loading your Microphone input. I'm trying to solve this problem but until I do you might try the following:
Work with "Line In" rather than "Mic" input and minimize your input volume.
