FF6 Tru Flite problems and interface qestions

I have a slight bit of a problem. I have a tru flight interface with a pic16C54 which has a 9 way d on and goes into the serial port of thge pc.
As i cant seem to get onto the tru flight website in any way i have a problem in that the software i have is only for upto win ME and not windows xp and gives me an error.
Can anyone tell me if i can use this interface with FMS or do i need to make another and if so what type. I am using this with a Futaba FF6 remote control... I have no problem with programming pics if there is a interface to make as i have a programmer...

Ok i have fixed the problems now with a pullup resistor...Thanks
