Model load help

I need walk through I found the model I want I down loaded it un zipped the file that is where I got lost the Icon is on my desk top I cut and pasted the model into where I thought it should go....When I wen't to play my model was there but no control and now I can't get any of my models
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
