Display is very slow - One frame per second

Postby Bill Oliver » Thu Jul 05, 2007 8:54 am

I'm running an old "steam driven" computer. Clock speed 350MHz, 65536KB RAM, Win 98. I'm using a Hitec Laser 6 RC transmitter via a USB port. All used to run well until recently a local guy replaced the power supply (as my PC was freezing/rebooting intermitantly) since then I cannot run FMS properly. It will load, all the controlls run normally, but at one frame per second. That's too slow even for an old guy like me. Can anybody help please!!!! My wife flies model aircraft to, and is having withdrawl synptoms not being able to practice with FMS. :(

Click on Start, Run, dxdiag and make sure that Directdraw is enabled and working.

Uninstall and reinstall FMS. It fixes up the Windows registry entries.

The only problem I've had with FMS low frame rates is when running with a low-end 3D graphics card or a 3D graphics card without the right drivers or DirectX updates.
