I have an Airtronics RD6000 -- Need Interface Help!

Postby bob95065 » Tue Sep 11, 2007 5:18 pm

I have a Airtronics RD6000. I made a cable for the tariner socket that plugs into my computer's sound card. I installed SmartProPlus and tried to get the radio to work. I am running Windows XP on both my desktop and laptop.

My desktop got no signal at all on the PPM thermometer that was on the SmartProPlus web site. I decided to try my laptop.

I played with the settings and got erratic lines for about 30 seconds then nothing. I tried to calibrate the radio in FMS and the lines jumped around out of control.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am not running PCM. I know it won't work. I am in PPM mode

I was getting signal on my laptop -- but it was random signals, nothing useable.

Is there a setting I am missing or something?

Dbl click the audio spkr symbol in the system tray and click 'Options' Select 'Recording' and check that your input source (line-in?) is selected as the recording device with at least some volume on the slider.

I have also seen a web cam mess up the SPP connection. Disconnecting it allowed FMS/SPP to work.

Once you managed to set it up correctly - PCM should work (and is jitter free).
Select Sanwa/Air (PCM1) or Sanwa/Air (PCM2).
