DX6i with FlySky USB cable

Hi all.
I have just purchased a FlySky USB cable and a Spectrum DX6i controller. I have downloaded FMS, but when I go into calibration mode the controller has no effect on the blue bars. I am running Win7 and have already installed the DLL that I found to be required from other Forums.

Did you calibrate the controller within Windows Control Panel. If not, start there.

If you cannot calibrate the controller in Windows, it will not calibrate in FMS.
Also make it your preferred controller if others are defined.
