DX5e with FMS

I really need help.. I have a Spektrum DX5e tx (trainer hole in the back). I also have a 1/8" mono plug with a direct USB end.
How do i use it on FMS.?

Sorry "direct USB end" doesn't mean much. Do you actually have a USB interface intended for use with FMS ?

If so all you normally need to do is plug it in both ends. DON'T switch the transmitter on, it comes on itself. You then calibrate it under Windows/Game Controllers (in somewhere like Control Panel depending on what version of Windows you have). Also in there make sure it is the preferred controller. Then calibrate again in FMS under Controls/Analog Control/Joystick Interface.

I have attached a pic of which cable i have .. if by interface you mean an external microcontroller board then i dont have it. Although I can make one if you can send me the schematics

If that is indeed a GWFSM002B FMS cable then it has a microcontroller built into the USB plug.

Did you try calibrating it as I described earlier ?

Get a cable with a 1/8" mono jack on each end and use SmartProPlus at a controller interface. I have been using it for years with my JR transmitters.
