USB Interface for Futaba 7CA

Hi Guys,

I've a Futaba 7CA.... and I've had a good look around the forums.

Unfortunately, I'm confused!

What exactly do I need to use FMS with my Futaba Radio, preferably using the USB on my computer?

I've seen USB interfaces around for about 40$. see:

Is this all I need? Comments on the milehighwings company?

On this forum, there is the PIC interface chapter, is this the same as "USB interface"?

What is better, serial or USB connections?

PIC serial is not the same as USB. A good USB interface makes your Tx look like a joystick so it's a bit more versatile, will work with any program that takes joysticks not just FMS e.g. MS Flight Sim, games etc. PIC serial only works with FMS but is usually a bit cheaper.

I don't know milehighwings (I'm on a different continent) but there are many other suppliers of both types of interfaces.

I'm not on the US continent neither. Actually live and work in the Gulf, UAE-Dubai (Belgian National)

Any recommendations regarding USB interfaces for a Futaba 7CA from Europe or Asia ?
