pic serial for Sanwa VG400 - not working

Hello all, I purchased a pic serial cable for a Sanwa transmitter from

I can't calibrate it for some reason(nothing happens when I move sticks) the model is a VG400
tried it on 2 pc's running winxp with no joy, ive searched for a solution I think maybe its for newer models I may have to mod it but thats ok anyone have any ideas?

If your Tx has a 6 pin socket and you have a 5 pin plug that may be the problem.

Hello Steve cheers for the reply ive just checked my tx and its a 5 pin version , its a 5 pin din lead aswell I checked the soldered connections looks ok according to the link aswell

Sanwa have changed the polarity of their buddy box outputs on the newer models. The easiest way to get around the problem is swap the two wires around in the Din plug.
