PPJoy & SmartPropoPlus - some questions

I get a lot of request to make PPjoy and SmartPropoPlus work together. I admit that I thought that PPjoy is all about parallel port, and since SmartPropoPlus is designed for the sound-card, it did not really make sense to me.
Now, I got a little into the PPjoy thing. I must confess that a huge job was done there and I really regret that the author quit with anger.
I also noticed that there is this virtual interface that seems to be designed for SmartPropo. I did try to use it without any luck. Was it designed to be used with SmartPropo and a sound-card? How? Is there anyone that uses or used it?
I'll be gratefull for instructions.
