Fujitsu-Siemens Easy Fly Controller - Can it be used for FMS?

Hi everybody,

yesterday I bought (in Karlsruhe/Germany) a game set called "Gamebird RC/Pilot" by Fujitsu-Siemens. Not exactly cheap, about € 25. It consists of a game controller and the easyFly software. The game controller looks a bit like a Futaba R/C-tx with a cable connector instead of an antenna. The cable connector is plugged into the gameport interface.

Unfortunately, I'm having great trouble using it for FMS. I cannot define channels so as to control separate functions (aileron, rudder, elevator etc.). For example, when I try to calibrate the controller, moving the stick for aileron affects two channels, 1 and 3. Any experiences with this piece od hardware? Thanks a lot.
