Can't calibrate. winmm.dll problem?

Hello. I used to regularly & happily use FMS 2.0Alpha8.5 + SmartPropoPlus 3.3.0f + Walkera PPM up until a few months ago. After a couple of months break I recently tried to start FMS but an error message popped up.

"FMS.exe has detected a problem. Problem Signature: AppName fms.exe, AppVer0.0.0.0, ModName winmm.dll, ModVer 0.3.3.0, Offset 00003b17". I have saved the full problem report.

I then installed SmartPropoPlus 3.3.2f. Now FMS starts but I cannot calibrate the transmitter channels. They remain completely still. Starting PPM Thermometer before FMS I can see the channels are being received. This continues after starting FMS. I can see in FMS under Controls, Analog Control, Ressources that SmartPropoPlus 3.3.2 is recognised under Joystick1.

Windows XP Home, Automatic Updates, 32 bit

I would be very grateful of any help or suggestions.

I suspect a bug in the Walkera PCM checksum code that has been introduced in 3.3.2
If my guess is correct then the problem is triggered by selecting Walkera (PCM) for your Walkera PPM.

Thanks for your reply. I have sent the problem report generated by windows when FMS fails to start using SPP 3.3.0. There is no such problem report generated for the problem with SPP 3.3.2. If there is anything I can do to help debug this problem please let me know.

Hi, I have a similar problem, I have a Macbook Pro running Parallels 6, windows 7, installed PPjoy and SPPP everithing reads fine in PPM AUDIO and WINSCOPE but when I try to set up USB game controller in Windows cant get to calibrate, I do not see any input.
The Audio input selection in SPPP is set to the desired one, and it connects to PPjoy without problem but no readings in Windows calibration,

Seems like PPjoy is not reading the correct audio input or something like that please HELP
