Cannot get JR transmitter to work with FMS. Help please.

OK done that thank you. It appears to have given me a new DLL but all the problems remain.

I had managed to get a stable "6 channel" display but the ever moving red lines are still there & FMS still does not start Smasrtpropo.

SmartPropo:
This original version was designed for Windows 95/98. You simply place it in the FMS folder. Do not expect any user-interface. Just start calibrating.

RC Audio:
This thermometer is a very accurate tool. If it does not detect the correct number of channels then you signal is bad. The problem can be hardware (Transmitter/cable/sound card) or software (You did not select the correct input Mic/Line-in).

Anyhow - no point running SmartPropo(Plus) before the thermometer is OK.

One thing that has just crossed my mind - are you on PCM? If so, start with PPM and move to PCM later.

Please confirm "original version" I have downloaded the FMS specific version from the Smart Propo link on the FMS home page.

Why do I get an apparantly completely different (& many more) set of files if I use the mirror sites from the home site?

Chris,
The original SmartPropo had 4 files in it, all named (once unzipped) winmm.dll
Each one was designed to be used with a different set of transmitters so if you wanted to switch from one transmitter to another you had to replace the file.
The four types of transmitters were:
1. PPM - JR type
2. PPM - Futaba type
3. PCM - JR
4. PCM- Futaba
Since you did not specify what were the files you have seen in the mirror site I cannot comment on them.
