Hi all:
Complete newby, recently purchased LamaV3 4Ch heli, learning to fly on FMS before destroying the real thing. After a lot of help from reading the Forum, got the set-up to work. However the transmitter (0404) gets very warm in the bottom left hand corner above the 35MHz Xtal, and the battery indicator keeps going down. In the simulator, the trim settings keep drifting, making it v difficult to learn to control the flight.
Should the Tx get so warm as to be felt outside on the plastic case after only about 10 mins? This represents a substantial drain on the AA batteries. How long should a set of 8 alkaline batteries last? - mine gave up after only about six 15 min practice sessions.
None of the controls remain steady for more than a minute!! The sim heli goes into see-saw motion forward and back (nick), continuous circling, yawing, etc., v frustrating to make it do anything you actually want to.
I have not even bothered to try the real machine, and am not a happy bunny. Has anyone had similar experience or can shed light on this?
Feedback/advice highly appreciated as always.
Thanks
