Postby fredda » Mon Jul 14, 2008 3:45 pm

Hi

I am totaly new on this; And therfore some questions. I bought a USB FMS, and installed the SW, plugged inn the USB controller, and choseen the analog Input and Joystisck. The Controller seems to woork, during calibration, but not when I start the Simulator. I can make the Heli or the Aircraft go Left or Right, but no Throttle, or anything else on the left Joystick.

The SW that are from FMS, dosent say anything about Channels, or how it are suppose to work.

If there are Any one out there, who can helop me, I would be greatful!!

Thanks in advance!

Maybe My USB/Futaba write up can help ...

Hi,

Maybe my futaba - usb write up can help.
I think I has similar problems and the biggest thing
I found was to make sure you didn't accidentally install
smartprop.

Adjust the sticks in the XP control panel using the game console.
Make sure that the X-Y rotate completely. When the two sticks
are in center position, the + mark should be in the center of
the calibration window, if that makes sense.

You can then just skip the rest or do the best you can w/ Z.
I found that even w/o a lot of response on the next screens
from X-Y-Z, as long as the first calibration worked, the rest worked out
in FMS.

Once you're in FMS, you want to pick JoyStick and then look at Resource.
Move your control sticks around and make sure as a result all your controls are responding. They should go up down as expected for 4CH.

Then once you have this, then click on calibrate.

The calibration process is one of trial and error. I cannot tell you how you have your channels setup on your controller. You're going to have to move the stick and observe which one of the channels move. Then adjust the settings on the left side for alieron, throttle, elevator, and rudder as desired including the REVERSE.

Hope this helps
Josh
