help with joystick interface j channel 1 and 2

hi,

I just have the flightsimulator, I want to use the helicopter. First I calibrated with an airplane on the first four : rudder, elevator, alerin, throttle, than I copied these channels to the last 4: tail, nick, roll and pitch. On the calibration channel everything does work.
But when I want to fly a helicopter, the nick(nr 2 ) and roll (nr 1) doesnot work. But on the blue channels everything moves right.

HELP! can anyone help me>??

I have to assume that you are in mode-2 on the controller, i.e.

Left Stick, Up/Down as Throttle control, and Left/Right as Rudder control.

Right Stick Up/Down as Elevator Control, and Left/Right as Aileron control.

If this is so, then in the 'Mapping,' select from 'Rudder' at the Top, to 'Pitch' at the bottom the numbers should read as follows:

4, 2, 1, 3, 4, 2, 1, 3 and tick all the invs

Did you successfully fly the aircraft?

I always suggest to do the following test with a simple aircraft (Bf109 e.g.), in order to check the channels assignment and possible inversion (then use INV box):

Give some thrust (throttle) with the lever that does not come back to the centre by means of a spring (in case of a transmitter-like device). The aircraft should move on the ground. Normal idle is with the stick close to you.

With reduced throttle, use the rudder to taxi on the ground (left movement drives to the left).

Pull the elevator when advancing at a good speed, the aircraft should take off.

When in the air, the ailerons stick will control a roll (to the left if pushed to the left).

With an helicopter, it is almost impossible to check the correctness of assignments.
