Using Two 2-axis joysticks on a single gameport - Two 2-axis joysticks on a gameport

Hi, I am having problems using the Dave Brown RC simulator
hardware box with FMS. It is essentially two joysticks
on a single gameport. I am using windows 2000.

If I install the box as a "Single 2-axis joystick on gameport"
then FMS sees the rudder/throttle joystick as joystick 1 and
nothing appears as joystick 2.

If I install the box as "Two 2-axis joysticks on a single gameport" then FMS only sees the aieleron/elevator joystick
as joystick #2, and nothing appears as joystick #1.
However in the windows 2000 Gaming Options setup I can see
and calibrate both joysticks if they are installed as "Two
2-axis joysticks on a single gameport"

I would be curious if anyone has experienced this problem and if there is a workaround or fix for it.

I believe I made a new joystick discription in the sontrol pannel. It was a 4ch 1 button configuration.

The windows 2000 control panel? There is no option
for "4 channel". If you try to add two seperate 2-axis
joysticks it won't let you.

When you go to the control pannel select "Gaming Options"
Then select "ADD"
Then select "Custom"

Note:
Set up for 4 ch and 1+ button(s).
You will need at least 1 button so you can calibrate the joystick input. On Ken's interface there is a spot to connect up to 4 buttons or control some of the buttons from the extra radio channels (Haven't tried that yet).

If you mess up you will need to make a new description as I don't know of any way to delete or modify a description once created. Don't work, just start with a new name.
