joystick controls are backwards

joystick controls are backwards

Postby eldondraman » Tue Jan 05, 2010 11:37 pm

I Installed the E-sky simulator and I thought that I was ready to fly. Then I realized that the transmitter or joystick for the elevator was backwards--pushing it forward made it go up instead of down. On the left joystick- the throttle works on the left right movement not the forward and backward like it is supposed to. I have not been able to have it in the air long enough to check the other two channels for accurate setup.

Is there anyone that knows how to make the adjustments necessary to make it work properly.

Go to Controls > Analog control > Joystick interface > Mapping/Calibration. On this screen you'll see a list of functions, each has a channel number assigned and two checkboxes for "Inv" and "Exp". The former will invert the signal, which is what you need. The latter will add exponential to make the response softer around the midposition.

To treehugger--thank you so very much-- I knew there had to be something. I am not able to do some real practicing.
