Windows XP does not see my 0905A controller

Windows XP does not see my 0905A controller. When I try to install it in controll pannel, I can click on FMS in the list. However, when I click ok, it tells me there is a problem with my gameport or gameport driver. I cannot find how to correct this. Can anyone help me please?

Verify that the controller is seen in Windows, Control Panel, Game Controllers, first.
Also make sure it is the preferred device in the [Advanced] button and the controller
will calibrate normally in Windows. Then FMS should also recognize it.
