Models roll/turn left?

Models roll/turn left?

Postby Jack the R » Tue May 01, 2012 5:56 pm

TX is calibrated, trims are centered, I can fly most of the models around (not the ones that roll super fast). All the models act as if the tx has max left trim on aileron (rudder when 3 channel) or a left input from the stick.

FMS is Alpha 8.5, TX is an Esky 4 channel, OS is Vista. FMS is not running in any kind of emulation mode (i.e. not XP/2000/NT/etc).

I'm totally lost.

FMS is Alpha 8.5, every model I've tried, the standard flying field.

I loaded up your Pilot RC Sbach model (new favorite!) and it needed 4 clicks of right rudder, 9 clicks of down elevator, and 14 clicks of right aileron to be flyable.

I can set up an Esky TX just for FMS if no other solution comes to mind. i've got a couple going unused.

It sounds to me like you need to recalibrate the controller. Nothing else comes to mind. -- ggunners

I hate to admit it but that was the problem, although I did calibrate it a couple times. I must have messed up somewhere.

It's easy to do, just calibrating in the Windows control panel or for another controller can sometimes mess things up. -- ggunners

The problem came back - fixed again by recalibrating again. I'm not sure but it may have been caused by turning on expo for one model and turning it off for another. I'll try to reproduce it sometime.

There is no calibration for each model, it is for all models.

If you want to adjust a specific model, use one of the .par file editors. I like Mr. Masuoka's ParEdit.exe.

Right, the model shouldn't make a difference, but something is causing the calibration to change. It was off again when I ran FMS this morning. I haven't been able to trigger it though. I'll figure it out eventually.
