my controller does nothing!

hi i am trying to use my controller with the FMS program and it does nothing i am running it on my PC that uses XP and i did the whole "control panel" thing and it is just not working. can anybody help?

Possibly, if you say what "controller" you're trying to use and how you have it connected to the PC. Also what exactly you see when you do "the whole control panel thing".

It asked me which controller I wanted to use "ppm" was one of my choices. And I selected that this would be my default controller. At first I was able to calibrate it thru "control panel" and then I went to the FMS program to calibrate and it was moving only the last 2 bars before but now it isn't moving anything anymore.
