Airship13

Postby HarryA » Thu Jan 02, 2014 1:12 am

Hello all,
First thanks to Gary for doing the Airship. I wonder if it is possible to remap the controls so that
the rudder is on channel #1 rather then #4 ?

I now change the settings for the rudder from #4 to #1 and aileron from #1 to # 4.

Looking in the .par and .mqo files I don't see any relationships.

Also how does one learn to create a model? What are the software tools required?

thanks from cold NE Pennsylvania.

Hi HarryA, the Airship13 only has rudder and elevator, channels 2 and 3.

If you use Mr. Masuoka's Paredit.exe program, the channel mapping is under the Wing sections.

Named [Stab] for elevator channel 2 and [Fin] for rudder channel 3. In 3 channel models, we usually
map the rudder to the aileron channel. This keeps the primary turning control on the right stick.

There is a tutorial for making models under the Model section of the forum called Metasequoia tutorial.

Meta is a free 3D modeling program that can save as DirectX. Once you have a 3D model, flight physics
are adjusted with the pareditor. It's best to copy a similar .par to start.
