I have just completed a model of the
(the brushless version) for FMS.

The is a great looking scale Mustang
that flies great with the new brushless powerplant and LiPoly batteries.

Wing Span: 39.0 in / 990mm
Overall Length: 33.5 in / 850mm
Flying Weight: 25.0 oz / 710g
Motor Size: 480 power (960Kv) brushless outrunner motor
Prop: 9x6
ESC: 18A brushless
Battery: 3-cell 11.1V 1200mAh LiPoly
Channels: A/E/T dual aileron servos, optional rudder channel
Requires: full-range DSM2 aircraft transmitter (sold separately)



As you may know, this model has not shipped yet, so we will have
an update sometime in July 2009.

Hi,

that's another great model from your Parkzone series!
But will it replace the trusty T28-Trojan as my favourite ride in FMS? - Only time can tell.

I would prefer a little bit more elevator authority, though. Something like 15° deflection is more to my taste, allowing tighter cuban eights and split-S'. I've got no idea how realistic that would be, just personal preference.

Yes, more elevator and more rudder is what I am hearing from everyone. I was waiting for an actual flight report before tweaking the .par file.

I downloaded your zip file, but there is only one file called "pz-p51-bl" in it. It doesn't even have an extension like .par

How do I use this file to get a model I can fly in FMS?

Hmmm.... I just clicked on the above link and the .zip file has 7 entries in it.

Try downloading again. Then extract the files to the C:\ Program Files\ FMS\ Model\ directory.

This is an FMS 2 alpha 8.5 model.
